Ice:

Somehow, and in spite of hundreds of stitches having been used to keep the old mug from developing flappy parts, the teeth are still there and largely intact. I still remember (with a big toothy grin) that the whole top shelf of any dressing room used to be a row of choppers smiling at you.
The gods do smile on tiny sparrows. (g)

By the way, as I get older, I feel even sorrier for any guys who have never played in a rough and tumble team sport. Aside from the memories (in which we all play better and better with each passing year), it is the best possible bridge across a family's generations. Grandfather-father-son. And all have shared the same passion.

As you note, NT got what it deserved.

Best, Earlie
