I do not agree that the Clinton-Gore tax policy is reasonable nor that it resulted in the balancing of the budget. We had a nice flat tax system in which the high end taxpayers had quit the games playing and the economic misallocations which the old preferential system had caused were washed out and absorbed with a great deal of pain. Now it is lost and we must start again.

Government receipts as a percentage of the GNP dropping was no bad sign to me - they were too high as a percentage of GNP to begin with.

Tax cuts do not cause inflation. Reagan cured the worst inflation seen in my lifetime and did it with massive tax cuts.

When will our schools start teaching folks some economics so we can quit having these stupid arguments?
