Amazon.com lists the value of its investments in its partners as revenue, split up every
quarter over the life of the contract. If the value were overestimated, that would affect
Amazon.com's bottom line and could affect its stock price.

James,

I am lost. These securities were on the books as an asset. How can they be revenue? Revenue should be cas or I guess stock payments to Amazon every quarter.

This is GAAP?
