"The Latin American region experienced the largest percentage increase, growing more than 234 percent over 3Q99 to nearly 10.5 million subscribers. CDMA has maintained a dominant position in North America, with 27 million users (a 105 percent increase over the previous year).

The Asia Pacific region now totals more than 33.5 million subscribers. Subscribers in other regions of the world, including Europe, Middle East, and Africa reached nearly one million."

CDMA is no longer entirely dependent upon Korea -- the America's now account for over 1/2 of the total CDMA subs. As the Korean subsidiary ban taught us, being too concentrated in any single market leaves the q very vulnerable to unique events in the market.

OT -- we must be near a bottom -- long term stalwarts are sniping at each other <g>.
