NOT true. SS has a surplus that the gov. spends. that's why the money would run out in about 30 years. if that really had saved SS, why doesn't Gore say so. IF a tax increase on SS retires was a good thing why doesn't Gore ever mentioned it? plus the tax increase in supplemental income had ZERO to do with SS. That was only to be applied to people making "over 200K" as quoted by Clinton in 1992. need to know your history before making claims that can't be backed up.
