You have not read my analysis of why oil prices are high.
1. Oil Tanker shortage - old tankers being scrapped (which is what we should do with social security). New double hulled tanker build rate not fast enough. If Gore's buddies in Iran pumped out 19 trillion barrels a day, you could still not get it here fast enough.
2. Oil refinery shortage - when was the last time you heard of a refinery being built? They are operating at capacity.
3. State by state gasoline formulation rules - these prevent interstate competition between refineries, and although not a major reason for high pump prices, are a contribution, nevertheless.
4. NEITHER CANDIDATE HAS PROPOSED A MANHATTAN TYPE PROJECT TO PERFECT NUCLEAR FUSION AS A POWER SOURCE. NOT EVEN RALPH NADER. Alice, that is the answer to your energy crisis.
5. Turn in your SUV for a bicycle.
6. We should not drill in the US for oil to burn for electricity. We actually need to save domestic oil reserves for things like petrochemicals, plastics & blow up love dolls. Nuclear fusion is the future, but neither candidate can say the word nuclear since they are afraid that the public will think they mean fission.
