and they can't charge more due to competitive pressures...a shake-out is needed first, whereby the weaker players simply go under. the remainder can then maybe begin to slowly raise their charges.

generally, as i have mentioned in the past, everybody now has to contend with the fact that the internet destroys informational deficits, and thus the basis for profit margins...no industry will remain untouched.
