the evil margin selling appears to be hitting this morning. Combined with WCOM's capex reduction, is making for an ugly morning. cm

Eugene, we're all stunned and frankly I'm beginning to doubt whether JDSU earnings can stop the slide.

The market is ignoring good earnings.

Earnings are the past; what the bears are
focusing on is their contention that capital
expenditures by the telcos are slowing. That's
the future, as they see it.

I am not short GLW, CIEN, JDSU, SDLI ; nor am
I advocating shorting them. But the bears
are loud about these issues, and they see
T and NT and WCOM trimming their buy orders.
