But, Michael, we're the "mean-spirited" ones , right? The scourge of the elderly, the CHILDREN, minorities, anyone not rich and hopefully white. So what do you expect from us?
The abject cynicism of Democrats, who portray one thing and do another, is what I pointed out. Once it was clear Nixon and his boys were guilty, the Republicans didn't rally around him. They were ashamed. There is no shame today with the Democrats, only spin, why, Clinton's not so bad, it's just sex, its a right wing conspiracy, leave us/him alone.
Despicable, shameless, duplicitous.

Nixon's behavior was despicable, as was Clinton Gore's. It was a Republican who said "the question is what did the President know and when did he know it" and it was Republican leaders who told Nixon that he would be impeached if he did not resign. They did the right thing. Would that the Democrats held the best interest of the nation above their own interest in power.
