Thanks all for your prayers and wishes. . . again. Well. . here we are right back at Vanderbilt Medical Center. . . broadcasting from the hospital room of my 15 yr old step-daughter. She has a severe kidney infection, mono and is dehydrated. . . but otherwise feeling fine. I wish I could say the same about this market. I snatched up some VRSN. . . though after looking at our fibre optics positions from yesterday, I am wondering when the blood-letting will end. Is this all in anticipation of JDSU Uniphase? And in the wake of Nortel? Or were they merely the excuse for the selloff? And isn't it interesting that the very week where we started the Fool Disclosure Rule, would see massive market moves based on two foreign companies. This rule obviously does not apply to foreign entities. . . who are under a different set of securities regulations in Canada. . . where information has more leaks than a sprinkler hose. So is this the "pay back" we discussed on Sunday? The problem as I see it is that the Individual Investors just won't rollover and die. If we could just GIVE UP and quit, then they could start their rally. But as long as we keep on buying the dips, we are in this stalemate. How long will it last? I couldn't say. Perhaps this panoramic view of Nashville will bring about some clarity. The standard indicators sure haven't.
