Oh come on, are you going to let a group of Oxford libertines further debase the English language?

1. Setting aside our political differences, I've enjoyed this little side-bar chat. But, come on! The OED isn't a good enough reference for you? Sorry, references on English usage don't get any purer or better than OED. Split infinitives are perfectly acceptable -- and Neo's were well within bounds.

2. P.S. I also love your hilarious spelling (e.g. "non sequitir").
What are you talking about? First, the text I posted was written by someone else. Second, I don't even see the phrase "non sequitir" in there.

3. to boldly go" = "to pioneer" -- Gaaaaagh! You may hate "adverbing" (a neologism to describe neologisms, by the way!), but you've got no problem taking perfectly good nouns and making them into verbs -- yech! That's the sign of a pretentious hypocrite. Sometimes. <potential grin>
