hj, if the noncomparative shop thesis were true then amzn should raise prices (and rewrite economic theory while they are at it). i love amzn. i do tons of free research there and then buy the product for the least $$$ -usually at another site. ;-)

Actually, Amazon's customer base is far wealthier than average. Here is the problem with growth going forward. That part of the market is now saturated. The not so wealthy will not pay the premium.

How can you comparative shop when Amzn is the only e-tailer LEFT!

Every decent traditional retailer is going dual channel. They arn't going away as some analysts want to claim when they say Amazon will have less competition this year. Amazon will have more competition.
