EricRR, recall that AMD's 64-bit instruction set is 'x86-64' not 'IA-64'.

So I don't think that's the added 'feature'. (that would be a rather large feature <g>)

With TFP dead, what better than adopting ISSE? Makes perfect sense.

3DNOW should be dumped. Too difficult to get it supported when you're a minority marketshare type like AMD. Be compatible, only better, faster, and cheaper.
