Well you see the value in paying for shipping; whether it's $3.20 or $4.50 doesn't matter much to many people. Amazon's not going to get the penny pincher for a while, except on electronics and other items where (or in cases where) they actually do compete well on price. Randy

rob, why limit your alternatives to street pounding? dealofday.com pricezilla.com pricegrabber.com hey, hey, good to see a php based site (open source) out there... :-) deal-finder.com media.dealtime.com there are a few more, but i can't think of the names now. there is one a friend likes a LOT, but the name escapes me. these ought to keep you busy for books and a lot more... this IS the POWER of the net! btw, it looks like amzn is trying to raise prices while not making much noise. seems they didn't fool you... ;-)
