Bush has taken the high road, while predictably, Gore has chosen the easy low road.

Political move only and the correct ones. He is Bush Sr.'s son but Reagans heir politically, not only in policy but in temperment and style. However times are different and though the need for Reagan was crystal clear to me in 1980 with the complete failure of Jimmy Carter, it is not so clear now.
Clinton's NDC is the descendent of the neo-cons who helped bring Reagan to power. I voted for Clinton over Dole and said then that Clinton was closer to Reagan than Dole. Dole always struck me as an old time, balance the budget guy while Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton were willing to move away from strict ideology--the difference between progressive and reactionary policy. So is Gore an NDC democrat or not? That is what i am trying to figure out.
