Arun Veerappan, Communications Components/Semiconductor Devices
"On October 25, Virata reported second quarter results, with revenue of
$42.2 million, gross margin of 47.2%, operating margin of 3.0%, and
untaxed EPS from continuing operations of $0.13," said Veerappan.
"Revenue upside in the quarter was slightly better than the company's
positive pre-announcement in September. The outlook for Virata is 10.6%
sequential growth in third quarter to $46.7 million. Given continued
production ramps at customers like Siemens, our estimate appears
achievable. Given Virata's growing xDSL product line, we believe that the
company can continue to increase its share of the xDSL market, which we
view as a large and growing market opportunity. As a result, we continue
to rate the shares of the company as a Buy."

4.50 on 100 is much different that 4.50 on 11.65. I am just saying that that is a new historic high from any etailer i've experienced. Not very good for business, in my estimation, because I will certainly think twice about ever buying a Sierra Club Calendar from them again.

Just seems to me they are pissing away perfectly good LT customers by doing that. (me for example.)
