I honestly do believe so. I think you phrased it better than I ever could (passing of the crown). This recent market turmoil was in part necessary for people to find the next set of leaders that will take us the next leg up. Sure CSCO, MSFT, ORCL are great companies...but how much higher can they go and at what pace? At one point, if CSCO had doubled, it would have been a $1 billion dollar company...yet CSCO had nearly tripled in price in only the 6 months from Oct 99 to March 00. Optics, Optics, Optics...and JDSU is the clear beneficiary while all the others duke it out.
