"Despite record 12 month trailing profits, MSFT still off 58pts" Yes, until the last couple of quarters, we hadn't seen MSFT show negative operational earnings in ages! So I guess that's a record of sorts. MSFT's handlers have a reputation for craftily applying candy coating to negative news. Recently these spinmeisters have been very busy hiding the company's bad numbers. MSFT's blatant quarterly accounting shenanigans have been gleefully overlooked by their apologists. I just hope that not too many ordinary people are badly burned by this glib deception. Dave
