The problem is, as I've stated before is my crystal ball can't guarantee where a bottom is on any stock. RR's rule "preserve capital" is one I wish I had adhered to more often this year, and with the market looking so unsteady, I sold the march 100's on jdsu and extr yeserday at the lows and took a bath and then sold the extr stock today at the low for $60. I guess I ended up being one of those sheep, huh <ggg>......well, I dint just sell and run for the hills......I did buy some NT, which I think is oversold and some atml, which I think is a great value play. I didnt sell any of my jdsu stock, just the calls, but still....between the extr stock and calls and the jdsu calls, the bath was quite extreme. I should have been more patient, but then again, what if we had continued down today......it's easy to look back in hindsight and say I did right or wrong, but I did what I did and have tolive with it. Hopefully, qcom, rmbs, jdsu, sunw, atml,NT, ssti and a couple others will make up for the disaster this year has been so far. Glad your buying...glad yourkicking butt.......The "old" keith would be doing the same...the "new" keith is still trying to find his identity and get his faith back. And yes, I must admitt, I have lost alot of faith....hard not to, when you really feel like you are making the right decisions, yet they all seem to against ya. Also, kind of wondering...is this what the market is now.....buy on the carnage days, hold for a day or two or three, go to cash, and wait for the next round of carnage? I am beginning to wonder if we will be able to bust thru and hit 4000 by january, yet alone 5000. It just seems like we keep staying in this volatile mode between 3500 - and 3000....since all my buys and sells seem to go bad, it has been rather painful. Anyway...more power to ya...glad things are going well for somebody. JDSU pops to $77, now back down to $70 in ahrs.
