JC, why is AMD so hesitant to demo things? Intel demos their CPUs months (years, even) before they are released.

If they don't demo the Mustang, it's one more missed PR opportunity.

Mustang details, probably. I'm unsure about demos. This might depend on how much of a performance boost AMD760 gives and what kind of performance AMD thinks P4 will offer against it. If they think P4 will be a poor performer, they might not demo it. If they think P4 will be a good performer (or if they're really close to release date), they'll probably demo it.

I still think that Mustang will be RELEASED at comdex. Ruiz said 5 new chips between nov 15th and feb 15th. However it's not impossible that he was thinking to the 133FSB TBirds for nov 15th. I can't wait for the mustang.
