Not talking about a bottomless pit. Just amazed at the insane volatility near the end of the trading day. As far as a bottomless pit, well... let's see how far the rabitt hole goes.

Interesting how people differ in their observations, as all I saw was the market go down on big volume, then get ramped up quickly to make shorts cover on less volume. It doesn't mean it isn't a reversal .... but I obviously didn't see the same thing as you did today.

The plummel on Nortel in after hours, and today's sudden up burst just confirms to me that the hedge fund guys are jerking stocks around. They are the supply/demand forces in today's ECN world. Between hedge funds and day traders, stocks can reverse 180 degrees at any time. So much for charting and their interpretations!
