Joe, Re: Thunderbird was a very low risk evaluation. I don't think AMD is going to do something high risk architecture-wise in Mustang. I think bigger changes will show up in Hammer family. I think you meant 'evolution'. A couple points: - There is 'risk' in not being bold enough. Who cares if it works fine, if the competition crushes you. - Precisely because the Tbird wasn't that big a change, I expect more with Mustang. - Mustang work didn't begin after Tbird. It should have been running in parallel since (before) the release of the Classic. Plenty of time for some meaty tweaks and feature additions. Doug
