Jacob have you considered doing your option strategy with spiders or holders? It seems to me that doing a horizontal spread on SMH May01 calls, you can double your money for a 13% rise in the semis. There is zero down side if this is the bottom and you stand to lose all if there is another 20% drop in the index (rather unlikely IMO).

October. This is one of the peculiarly dangerous months to speculate in stocks. Others are November, December,
January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August and September
