45 days. Wow. I'm reading Stephen Ambrose's book about building the transcontinental railroad. Promontory Summit, Utah, 1869. Sort of Trans-Andean I would think. A mammoth undertaking. Building this thing, basically around the entire world, you got to hand it to these guys. The largest private construction project (in size) in the history of the world, I would venture to guess. The pyramids don't count, that was public. Maybe you've seen one of the several articles about the cable laying ship construction guys trenching on the beach, landing the cable. And it's always, always ahead of schedule, Raise a glass.
