With JDS Uniphase reporting unexpectedly strong earnings and a stronger than expected GDP report tomorrow, I think that there could be a rally tomorrow similar to the one which occured last Friday. I think that bottoms can never known so it serves no purpose trying to guess it except for entertainment purposes. We've had two strong rallies off of the markets lowest levels the last couple weeks, and I guess that is telling and today the market couldn't break through that yearly low level either. The first time it happened, just about three weeks ago, I thought it was a fluke but after what happened last Friday, I guess that today's lows were about as low as we're going to get. Also, don't forget that mutual fund tax selling season ends with the month's end. Without all that seasonally induced selling pressure, the market will be able to rally on good news. Also, mutual funds will be looking to put all the cash they built up this month as soon as November begins.
NASDAQ futures are up strongly this evening.
