Gore now leads electorally with additions of Washington, Iowa and Wisconsin. Colorado has become a toss-up.
Even with Rasmussen's polls included. No Rasmussen numbers on battleground states though.

Soon you'll see NH, Oregon and Minnesota for Gore.
I think W.Va, Col, Mo and Nev will probably go Bush.

This makes it Gore 248 Bush -196

But Gore-supporters don't grin. Mich, Fla, Tenn, NM, Ark should decide the election. And who knows if Gore can take any of these? Going to be a cliff-hanger. Can Gore lose his own state? Will Clinton fail to deliver Ark? Will the big battle of Michigan be decided by Nader without Buchanon on the ballot? Can Gore hang onto Florida thanks to Lieberman's efforts? Questions without answers.

Many Missourians would rather have a dead guy than John Ashcroft. I was talking to one last night (and he's so far right that he likes Buchanan!).

Here in Missouri, they're talking about Carnahan's widow being the Senator should the deceased Governor win. A first lady, who's never ran for office, suddenly become a Senate candidate.

When in the hell did I move to New York?

>>Voting for a dead guy tells you how blind and stupid the dems are. Stupid people (mostly dems) shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Voting for a dead Dem is always more appealing than voting for a live one and they are better at press conferences than the latter.

The dead Dems can't pick your pocket and they have a shorter shelf life.

Mel Carnahan was loved by most Missourians. He was, in fact, a potential contender for the Presidential nomination. His wife will run in his place and probably win. They are not actually voting for Mel, but for his wife. They are all fully aware of this.

Missouri is a key state to tip the Senate to Democratic control.
