I heard Mortgage.com is closing its operations, laying off hundreds of people and selling assets, including its URL. E-Loan's CEO says they have enough working capital to reach 2002, when they expect to turn a profit.

As a customer, I was pretty happy with the way EELN processed my loan. But I sure am glad I didn't invest. Still watching, though.
