I have to agree to some extent. Although there is huge revenue and value in the use of the directory for the management of network resources, and user authentication, I have also argued for quite a while that the end-user value of the directory has been lacking for a long time.

There are very few tools that expose the value of a directory to the end-user ... and without those, the directory just becomes an enabling piece of plumbing to end-users.

There is tremendous end-user value that a directory can provide, and I continue to work to expose these values via proposals internally at Novell. There are still huge opportunities in this space!

I don't believe that Novell has to "cease" selling the solution that they are selling today, but could compliment this with much more! ;-)

(P.S. I am posting this from Netscape on my new Redhat v7 Linux box ... I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed by how far RedHat has come with their product. Linux is really beginning to cross over some very important hurdles to continue to grow in popularity ... IMHO. My next test will be installing it on a test harddrive for my laptop ...)
