ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 27, 2000-- Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR - news) today reported its ninth consecutive quarter of growth in Video-On-Demand (VOD) revenue from its XSTREME Division. Revenue from the Company's VOD sales grew five fold during the first quarter ended September 30, 2000 to $5.4 million from $1.1 million in the first quarter of the prior year. The increase is primarily attributable to the commercial launch of VOD service in San Diego by Cox Communications and the early stages of a new deployment in an undisclosed city in North America with a major MSO. Total Real-Time revenue was $10.9 million in the first quarter of the current year compared to $14.6 million in the same quarter of the prior year. Total revenue for the first quarter ended September 30, 2000 totaled $16.3 million, an increase of 4% over the same quarter of the prior year. The overall gross margin in the first quarter of fiscal 2001 was 49% compared to 47% in the first quarter of fiscal 2000.
