Sting-Ray,

My understanding is that the second leg is normally on lesser volume.

The problem I have calling today the main bottom is that in all previous 2nd legs, my short-term technicals always got to CLASS BUY signal - every time in the past since 1996, when I started my analysis. Also, for every major bottom in the past, since I have been watching, the major indices had the second leg at the same time, within 1-2 days. The DOW is right now at a short-term high and not at a low. So Im not saying that it cant rally, just that its not fitting the the common criteria of major bottoms of the past. Could this be the exception, sure but it would be a guess not based on any statistical data.
