Softechie, You were smart to take some short positions in SCMR et al on Friday, but you are not smart if you believe that optical spending is going to slow, effecting component sales by JDSU. The 300 million dollars that NT supposedly did not have was due to the a one quarter issue and represents a pimple on the 25 billion in optical sales this year. This number will grow according to estimates by 50-60% next year. you know very well that the CLECs account for just a hair over 10% of sales so citing CLEC sales as the demise of JDSU is asinine.

Btw, I was on vacation and in cash until thursday. I bought GLW and JDSU below 65, SCMR below 55, AMCC below 133 and MRVC below 32.5.
