Just a further offering here, and then I'll shut up. Think about Greesnpan's soft landing here he seems to be tirelessly attempting to execute. Almost three years ago now he finally gathered the courage to state that market valuations were sky high essentially. The so called "soft landing" is entirely about this and various economic "devices" if you will are being tweaked and turned so that investors ultimately will not be hit too hard when the sudden realization occurs and the investment community tunes into your line of thinking with full attention given - you know the left side of the brain starts working. Imagine the task he has. I'm surprised he doesn't have any kind of "intelligence" detail walking by his side when he strolls across the street with that briefcase in hand. Companies are beginning to feel it, and people are beginning to wake up and are pissed off at him for having nothing but the best intentions to preach simple mathematics/economics.

Anyway, I'm done

all the best to you as well

Networks were due for a bounce, but will probably encounter resistance around 1125 area. The sector is not as bullet proof as everyone thinks anymore. I think companies can state growth going into next year all they want, but next year is next year, and I think the growth will be slower than many companies seem to indicate at this time. CEO's, IMO, will look to save their butts back fattening their bottom line, or else they may be on the street like LU's CEO. Fattening the bottom line will require companies to scale back to increase share holder value. Does it make sense to expand operations in a slowing economy? Unfortunately, CEO's will learn this the hard way come next year. This is what I foresee going into 2001.
