The Times square debt clock was dismantled about two months ago because it had been ticking steadily backward for two years. The owner said he would put it back up it started forward again. It was a big story on CNN and I saw the clock moving backward myself on TV. Whatever Jeeves tells you about today I don't know. But Clinton had reduced the debt. He is the first president who has since Eisenhower. And a lot of the reaosn is because he resisting giving big tax-cuts, and streamlined the gvernment at the same time.
