Bush has been campaigning quite a bit in Florida this past week. The latest poll probably reflects that concerted effort on his part. If Bush wants to win Florida, he's going to have to campaign there every three days or so. And if he does that, he's letting down his guard somewhere else. Bush's pop in Florida is only temporary. I think it'll bounce back Gore's way next week, as more seniors embrace the Gore-Lieberman platform on Social Security, Medicare and prescription drugs. Gore is also smart in that he has been campaigning low-key, for the most part. I look for the Democratic platform, more than Gore himself, to carry the day on Nov. 7.
