I wanted to say to everyone...thank you for the nice pm's and e-mails..re: my honesty in talking about losses... i have always talked about bad trades..it so important for people to let others know we make mistakes... if you never take a loss, then it's pure bullshit...right now i am winning about 45-50% of all trades... my losses are of course much less because of stops, and quick cuts, not waiting for the stop... everyone should keep logs each day of all trades..with notes on why you bought it, and why and when you sold it..then total up your daily work.. yesterday after reveiwing my trades, i made 3 1/2 points on the ADI short, 1 1/2 on the AMZN short, total 5 not 4 1/2, and then lost 9 on the SUNW 2 trades, net loss 4 points.. however...now would be a good time to talk briefly about how many shares i trade... i trade between 500 and 1000 shares on stocks below $50...over 50 and up to 75 --600-700shares, over 75 and up to 150..i trade 300-500..period... so in the morning i made $5000 then lost $5600 in the afternoon..net loss of for the day $600...i won;t talk about how many shares i trade on each trade nor will i talk about dollar values again..i usuually am more aggressive in the am, gap territory..and much less aggressive late in the day..i hate to give back nice easy profits.. just suffice it to say..be true to thy self everyone... if you do not admit mistakes your only fooling yourself...and if you post it, others will be able to help determine why you made that mistake... there are alot of people on SI that are pure nonsense...we as daytraders know that...you all should too.. nuff said my regards OJ
