I am HYPING the stock! Shorts try and find something negative even if there isn't anything and get away with it...

They will always find something negative.
Longs can't ALWAYS find something POSITIVE.

Where's that MAC Guy Now...shorting JDSU?

Part of the problem is is the use (or misuse) of the word "optical".

Circuit switch voice equipment (which was highlighted by both NT and LU as an area of weakness) for example, has NOTHING to do with optical.

This whole thing seems (suspiciously) blown out of proportion, and the differences between growth rates for optical and non-optical segments is being ignored.

Company after company has said this and the ANALysts seem to ignore the difference.

Briefing pointed to WCOM, but here is what they said about their areas of cutback:

Message 14671566

The AMCC CEO was flabbergasted by this:

Message 14662725

Chambers said it, Roth said it, Straus said it, Eggers said it. They ought to know.

Is this intentional or simply poor analytical work. Are there reasons we don't know why people want optical crashing right now? It couldn't have anything to do with money and greed could it?
