Julie, Lucent promised increased capacity so many times it became an artform. All companies lie. All companies exaggerate. All companies will get their haircut, when they disappoint or do not live up to promises. This is why we do not marry ANY stock. . .long, short or otherwise. We just make the best possible trades and investments we can make. Nothing more.

So the question regarding JDSU is not so much whether or not they can execute. . . the real question is whether or not sufficient numbers of fund managers BELIEVE that they can execute. That is the key to whether or not the price will continue to rise. Actual earnings reports only happen 4 times each year. But the real trading happens between reports. So looking at block buys as you so often do is a very smart way to see fund interest. And once the funds commit a stock to their holdings, they are obligated to continue trading it. . . which adds to the upward buoyancy.

And that is where we find our best long-term winners.
