LarsA. As you drive down the road, do you navigate by looking in the rear view mirror? So what is your present internet commection speed--56K? There is no reason why the internet backbone csnnot be improved to catch up with higher access rates.

"what on the internet are you going to use your 2 megs for?"

You are right, bandwidth, particularly the "last mile" and more specifically the connection into a computer has been a major technical challenge for several years.

HDR can obviate the need for cable modems, DSL lines etc. as a last mile solution as data can go straight into your hard drive via wireless connection.

Once you have that, you can watch you favorite football (American or real) games, full motion, full screen...none of this stop gap internet television crap.

If you open your mind to that kind of wireless "bandwidth", the possibilities are somewhat staggering.

"If you build it, they will come..."

Lars- 56k sucks, dsl rocks, there is a huge difference. If hdr gives a laptop user dsl speeds, demand should be huge.
