your reaction to any serious question is just to change the subject and make a wise-crack.

Actually, most of my reactions to you comprise hysterical laughter, mixed with one part absolute pity, and one part utter contempt.

I have effectively won this debate AS... You can't defend Al Gore's plan because it is nothing more than status quo, put the debt on the backs of our youth, and let government spend the all too important capital necessary to grow this economy....

The funny thing is.. I was chatting with one of my VERY LIBERAL friends yesterday. When I explained the problem with the current Social Security system and how it demands that the govt take on $2 trillion in additional debt over the next 10 years, she understood COMPLETELY and was rather shocked by it all.

When I told her that creating that kind of debt was providing Al Gore the capital to expand entitlements that will latter have to be funded ALONG WITH THOSE IOUs IN THE SS TRUST FUND, she was frankly APPALLED...

Then I told her that Bush was advocating taking 2% out of everyone's 15% payroll tax and giving the THE OPTION to invest that in private retirement plans, she completely AGREED that this would be the right thing to do.

So if she can understand it, I can't for the life of me understand why you can't...

I bet you were a C student at Harvard...
