TRENTON -- Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush has gained sharply on Democrat Al
Gore among New Jersey voters, a Quinnipiac University poll released yesterday indicates.
--------------
Quinnipiac University political analyst Scott McLean said his reading of the poll questions found Bush
has made gains among previously undecided voters because Gore's favorability ratings are plunging.

"Bush had a good October, and Gore had a lousy month," McLean said.
