This is for grins only.

If there is a big short position on MSFT they are NOT going to risk the weekend. Then they, the "shorts" will all have to close out the position in the next what 40 minutes.

IF that were true the stock should touch about 80. No one is selling. :))))

There is definitely something fundamentally very strong going on w.r.t. to MSFT biz - be it windows2k upgrade or .net adoption, I don't know what. But wall street got to know, else how can we see so much fresh funds flow into softy? what is behind the heavy money flow into softy?
