On the surface that would seem to be true, but I feel the FED has taken away they very engine that was driving the new economy, the IPO and VC market. What the FED has done has played market god and has decided the first crop of companies that came out of the shoot were enough to move the nascent new economy forward. I just hope the ones that are left standing will be able to handle the load. IPO and VC market has largely taken the place of corporate America's R&D departments. So, not only is the FED playing God with the new economy, they are also slowing the creation new companies that could provide the necessary competition to the older companies. A good example of the above is CSCO. CSCO eats smaller companies to compete. CSCO needs VC funded food.
