You know, I just checked on the market and the Dow is up 186 and the Nasdaq 37. Happily I am doing pretty well in the market today. It crossed my mind that Gore has never experienced the very American thrill or agony of investing in the market. According to a recent article I read about him in Money magazine he has never invested in any stock. In fact, he has never, proactively, made any kind of investment without the involvement of his father or another. He really hasn't lived the American dream.

Any jackass can pay $50 and get a listing in the phone book. By actively practicing I mean that when you attend CLEs you don't just go to ones in Vail and go skiing when you're supposed to be learning. I mean that you don't shove all your research and lawyering on associates while you go play golf and act like a big shot on SI. I mean that you are ACTIVELY practicing law and not just doing it so you can maintain your undeservedly inflated ego.
