BS, I don't agree with Fleck.

Greenspan demonstrated during the 87 crash, the Mexican bailout, the Asian crash and bailout, and LTCM, that he will print whatever amount of money it takes (or arrange private deals) to rescue the banks and brokers from themselves.

Washington demonstrated that it will use public funds to provide whatever amount of money is necessary to make good on the bad debts via the IMF. (They will grumble first though).

The IMF demonstrated that it will impose whatever conditions are necessary on a toubled country in order for it to receive money and make good on its bad debts. Even if it totally destroys that economy and millions of lives for a couple of years.

It still amazes me that except for a small percentage of the population, people remain comfortable with this arrangement.
And Wall St gets richer.....
