I guess we agree on that point. I was interested in whether this product qualifies as a disruptive technology? What do you think? Also, my investment in this will be very small, .2% or less of my portfolio.

I agree that Transmeta is not a current gorilla or king candidate, but MarkR37 seems to be correct in identifying Transmeta's Caruso as a good example of a disruptive innovation. Intel and AMD (the entrenched companies) may have even experimented with and rejected this technology because they are staying in tune with their customers and are piling their R&D power and $$ into furthering a continuous technology.

I, for one, will be interested in following how this plays out and whether Christensen's ideas apply here.
