JJ,

Individual stock futures will open up vast new arbitrage and hedging opportunities. Remember that futures have different margin, tax, trading limits, cost of carry, consequences than stock options and will be much more attractive to the big players.

Even though individual stock futures will offer direct competition to equity option exchanges I suspect that the arbitrage and hedging opportunities available will increase liquidity in the equity option markets.

I have never traded futures by I might start start now.

Regards,

Ken
