elly,

RE:"Timna with an MTP is more than a single chip integrated solution. Timna with Rdram is too expensive currently to compete in the low end against the 810. Timna made sense only with RDRAM and by the time that is cheap enough the integrated graphics will be obsolete. There will be no doubt a successor to Timna with the correct economics"

...
With a chip as integrated as Timna, logistics suggest it couldn't keep up with current speed grades. I don't think Intel will continue with the Timna concept...especially with P-III becoming low end. They are just too cheap to make and will scale much better than Timna ever could..

elly,

RE:"As usual you fail to specify the reasons for your opinion."

I expect at least some level of common sense from SI readers. OTOH, your best sources seem to be self-serving whacko posts from the Yahoo boards...
Is this how you got convictions when you were a NY cop? <G>

Jim--

Can you summon the Army of Darkness to fall upon the Sanctuary of Intel? It would be entertaining to see Tricky Dicky, Estupido, and Sylvesteriq<80 share some of their insights with the Intel thread. The AMD threads have already had more than their fill.

PS: I actually found your RMBS-thread posts on the drug war quite enlightened and well-reasoned.
