I heard a great sermon today, relative to asking for God's help. The bottom line was that God will help you be better at something (a change in you), but will not help you get your way regarding an event.

So, praying that God will make you a better, wiser investor is cool, but praying that God make a stock price go up or down ain't so cool.

Makes sense to me.
