They must be trying to drive the price down, so more big buyers can get onboard. Earnings will probably be blowout in early Nov.

You may be right on the money there..no pun intended...Maybe this is the contrarian indicator.

The only argument here, for Jefferies, is relative valuation. If the whole sector, even the most quality tech stocks, have been hit over a protracted period, then relatively speaking, a re-valuation of BEAS is in order.

Accept or reject this hypothesis on the merits. As far as I am concerned it is yet another manifestation of the herd mentality that is inherent with stock investing. Its the "price" you pay to reap significant returns, over the long term, by owning quality stocks.

As I see it, you can view these "imperfections" two ways. Either you can look upon it (1) with disdain, and get ticked off when you check mid-day prices and see your beloved investment down another 10% on top of the previous day's decline with no substantive development to support such a 2-day precipitous drop, or (2) as a buying opportunity and increase one's position if you're fortunate to be sitting on some cash at the time.

My two cents.
