There's money on the sidelines and we have our necessary "wall of worry" for a sustainable (in the short run) advance. So barring an "exogeneous event" such as an international catastrophe or a domestic political disaster (remember the election), I believe we'll see a rally. In fact my most serious qualm wrt to an upcoming rally is too many others also see one coming.

I don't normally post on this thread but wonder how you guys would field this question...for this rally that you and EVERYONE just absolutely, positively KNOWS will occur, well someone has to sell to all you guys, right? Now who would be selling on the way up? Are they dumb? Are all of you guys, and all the CNBC commentators, and everyone else sitting at home thinking they can just pull $$$ out of this market long like grapes off a vine SMARTER than all these sellers that will be giving you free money? Or are you the smart guys that will be selling? Well then, who are those suckers that will be buying from you? Don't you think these suckers watch CNBC and have already bought "the dip"? Remember that everyone buying this end of year "guaranteed" rally not only has to assume that what they are buying will continue to go up...they have to assume there will then again be someone to buy from them even higher, right? Or are you guys all long term investors who will give, say, JNPR the benefit of the doubt while they grow into their valuation, LOL? What if everyone that has been expecting this November rally has already bought in anticipation? You are right to be worried about too many people expecting it IMO, though I would not put anything past this sick market. Got puts and calls, time for some fun next week.

Sorry for all the questions, most if not all of them are rhetorical, just some food for thought. good luck
